it's evident that i miss home..
yes, i miss home so much.
i miss family both my really cute parents whom i video call almost everyday.hehe..and everytime i call them, they remind me so much more of home and how it was like living with them.



and i miss my gems (bffs and the whole monkey clan) and everytime a weekend starts,i would realise i wouldn't have plans with them no more like i used to back in kl.all the yum cha sessions,dinners,movies,events and partying..

i miss mamak food...

i miss life back home.

IT'S NEGATIVE MARKING!

and this weekend is going to be spent doing reports and studying for class tests which are in a forthnight,i know i'm a boring person.and i know there's just so many places to go visit.and places to go out and chill..but..i've got so much work piling up..oh my..

am i gonna go shopping again..maybe..watch a Harry Potter and the half blood prince next week..absolutely!i read this particular volume of the book years ago and was dissapointed with the ending.but nevertheless,can't wait to watch it.




and i've picked up a new sport,it's call GYMMING
i paid 30 quid just to join the sports centre gym for the summer,just to lose all the fats that all the aunties claimed i've put on since i've been here.initially i thought i would be all burned out and end up going to the gym like once only and never to return again after one exercise ,but no i've been a persistant gym-goer since i've joined,and i'm so dying to stretch and flex at their yoga classes ..if only they're not in the afternoon.sigh.

what's glasgow buzzing about....

AMAZING!!!

hey there..i know that i've left my blog in a very dormant state,with no new updates about my new life here in the scottish city.first of all i would like to assure my readers that i'm alive and well here=)good sunny weather which became as HOT as it was in Malaysia that my bathcmates and i finally ditched the sweaters,tights and jackets for tank tops,shorts and flip flops.,

how's the city like?

my apartment on campus is in the city centre itself and i could just walk down to the shops whenever i like=)it's literally shopping HEAVEN here..but the only thing that u've gotta do is not bare in mind the conversion rate when u're on one of your shopping sprees...i categorise my shopping here into 2:
the necessities ie groceries:which are quite cheap here..i mean loads of things are like a pound or 2 each like a packet of strawberries,chicken drumsticks(8),fish steaks,spaghetti,yoghurt etc etc..apart from ang moh food, there are chinese supermarkets where we can get more familiar foods and see more familiar brand names that i miss so much since i've been here.i miss malaysian food..i miss daddy's cooking..i miss the food that made me fat..haha.

the 2nd category is the fun one:shopping for clothes...it's the big summer SALE here ladies..haha and there're really good bargains for whatever u wanna buy and i can tell u this...the 4-5 inch heels here are to die for!!!but i'm not buying them yet..simply because they cost an average of 30 to 50 pounds each..and i've got nowhere to wear them.it would kill my legs to walk in those the entire day.so my staple footwear are just limited to flats and quite a nice pair of boots which i love so much and i got it at half price=)
i would love toi show you other stuff that i've bought but u'll jsut have to wait to see them in pictures later=)and i'm too lazy to post up pictures here and they're all on my facebook.

oh wait..there's a third category..:shop online=)but i've not tried it yet tho,but it's a pretty secure way of shopping here in the uk.

next,accomodation:love this apartment filled with nice people and the nice view from my window=)could see a large part of the city,perfect except that it's on the 5th floor..mind u, no elevators.

places i've been to so far:the shopping zone which includes buchanan street and argyle street,streets lined with shops like M&S,primart,debenhams,topshops,dorothy perkins,aldo,borders...

glasgow greens..one word:BEAUTIFUL!!!!
people's palace which showcases displays of things significant to the people living here.

book i've finish:
a thousand splendid suns by khaled hosseini, a prolific writter who wrote the kite runner.i heart a thousand splendid suns,a tale which follows the fate of 2 afgan women married to the same man.

current read:
one fifth avenue by candace bushnell.

another thing i noticed:
false fire alarms seem to go off every now and then,that send us all out of the building,and within 2 minutes,3 fire engines will be there to find there is NO FIRE!!!most common cause:students like us cooking without shutting the door that leads to our dorms,hence triggering the smoke detector.
